St Margaret Mary Spiritual or Gratitude Journal:
     Keeping a gratitude journal is a great way to show thanksgiving to God. What you do is record the spiritual events in your life (or that of your family and friends) along with your personal thoughts and pondering.  Write down your experiences, answers to prayers, your testimony, conversion and other spiritual experiences from any church attendance; Mass, Bible study or any meetings.  When you journal daily of your blessings and what you are thankful for you’ll be amazed at your spiritual growth. You can make an entry daily, weekly, whenever you wish.
    In this upcoming jubilee year, as we celebrate 75 years as a parish, you might want to try to keep such a journal.  You could write about any of the celebrations and activities you attend, your thoughts on our parish being 75 years old, thoughts of the Sacred Heart image, St. Margaret Mary herself, a homily that inspires, makes you wonder or gets under your skin...the list goes on and on (or simply what the word of the month.)
        Beginning in mid October, look for the weekly reflection on the “word of the month” and journal questions in the  bulletin (Facebook and our website) to help you along.  It might be as simple as writing a list of 75 reasons to love St. Margaret Mary Parish!
