                                                                                    PARENT TEACHER COUNCIL

                                                                                    The primary purpose of the Parent Teacher Council (PTC) is:
                                                                                    • Promote open communication among parents, teacher, and administration and to enhance family involvement in the educational process;
                                                                                    • Provide support for the principal in his role as the administrator of the school;
                                                                                    • Provide support for the teachers and staff;
                                                                                    • Promote good will and cooperation between and among parents, faculty, administration and parish.
                                                                                    • Direct and coordinate fund-raising efforts in order to support and enhance the education of the students;
                                                                                    • Help build and enhance the faith of St. Margaret Mary School and Parish;

                                                                                    Fundraising:
                                                                                    The Parent Teacher Council helps parents meet their annual fundraising obligation by offering several fundraisers during the year. Generally, the PTC sponsors an annual magazine subscription drive and one other fundraising opportunity during the year for this purpose.
                                                                                    In addition, the Parent Teacher Council also assists the school with other fundraising efforts that includes the school’s annual trip to Knott’s Berry Farm and the annual dinner dance. All funds raised through the efforts of the Parent Teacher Council are for the school and its educational programs and materials.

                                                                                    Meetings:
                                                                                    Parent Teacher Council Meetings are held 5 times a year. The meetings begin at 7:00 pm and are generally over by 7:45 pm. The meetings are held in the parish hall.
