As human beings, we have been given the mission to be both planters and harvesters; we literally plant seeds in the ground to raise plants for food, for raw materials, for shade, etc. We also plant things that are not visible: ideas, faith and virtues. Sometimes we see them come to fruition, often times we leave it for another one to harvest. We teach and form our children to become good men and women, good followers of Christ. We are also given the mission to help in the formation of others. Today, we welcome Fr. Ignacio Verdier who comes to us from the Intitución Dalmanutá in Tijuana, Mexico. He is here as a fellow planter to invite our participation in the mission to form men and women in the faith through Spiritual Direction. This is our opportunity to both learn about the mission and to aid in the planting. May God bring our mission to harvest.
Happy Father’s Day!
